Ceridwen Celtic Goddess of Fertility and Inspiration
Ceridwen was an enchantress in Welsh medieval legend. She is the Mother and the Crone aspect of the Triple Goddess and is often represented as an old hag or witch. Her cauldron was named Awen and is the Cauldron of Divine Knowledge, Wisdom, Rebirth and Inspiration. According to legend, Ceridwen was making a potion to grant her son the gift of wisdom and beauty, however her servant Gwion Bach accidentally took drops of the potion which led to Ceridwen swallowing him and he was reborn through her as the legendary poet Taliesin.
