Lord Kubera Hindu God of Wealth

Lord Kuber (Kuvera) is the Hindu God of Wealth, often portrayed as a short man with a big belly, sitting on his throne while surrounded by gold. Kubera is often worshipped with Lakshmi for wealth and success, in households as well as businesses. Kuberas worship goes beyond just Hinduism. In Buddhis Kubera is called Vaisravana, the guardian of the northern direction, oe of the four heavenly kings that are associated with four directions. In Japan, Bishamonten is founded upon Kubera, he is an armor-clad god of war and one of the seven lucky gods.
