Tjärved Wood

Tjärved wood or "tarwood" is a pine tree. It is an aromatic wood has been traditionally used for centuries by Nordic folk as a spiritual cleansing tool and an excellent replacement for white sage. It has an aromatic resin pine incense and while smudging it creates a pleasant, fresh smelling smoke with hints of musk and mint with underlying notes of frankincense. Thought to purge bad spirits or to rid one self of curses & spells.      

This wood was harvested sustainably from fallen branches and twigs of the tree, so trees are not cut for wood harvesting. When a branch seems to be dying the tree sends its sappy resin to collect there as a means to protect itself and preserve its over all health. These branches can be used whole, as a wand or broken down into smaller pieces as needed. 

Price is for 1 stick, approximately 7-8" long & about 1" wide.
